Hall of Fame - Harold Schroth
After attending the University of Illinois, Harold Schroth began his career in the industrial coatings industry, joining American Marietta in 1962. He originally worked in the laboratory, but later moved into sales of coil coatings.
In 1985, he moved to Hanna Coatings, which became part of the current Akzo Nobel. For most of the past 20 years, he has been their market manager for building products in North America.
Harold has participated in NCCA since 1972. While serving as chairman of our building products marketing group, a focus on residential roofing accelerated into a multi-association national marketing campaign, which led to the beginning of the Metal Roofing Alliance. Harold then served on the Executive Board of the Metal Roofing Alliance.
Harold retired from Akzo Nobel in 2005 and continues to be affiliated as a consultant with Akzo Nobel Coatings.
