Two Keynote Speakers

The two keynote speakers for the 2010 Annual Meeting are Dr. Ron Felber, who received rave reviews at the 2009 Annual Meeting, and Kermit Baker, chief economist for the American Institute of Architects.

“The Return of Manufacturing to American Soil,” Felber’s presentation, will make a strong historical case that America needs a vibrant manufacturing base for social, economic, and national defense reasons. Felber will challenge the notion of “free” trade and support the concept of “fair” trade, especially with China.

Dr. Kermit Baker is an analyst of business and construction trends who also serves as senior research fellow at the Joint Center for Housing Studies at Harvard. At JCHS, he leads a research program that aims to help businesses take better advantage of the U.S. repair and renovation industry.
